chillin on it

cropped striped shirt - F21, chiffon maxi - bohme, sandals - uo

Chiffon is the bomb. So flow-y and makes me look like I tried really hard to dress nice. Excellent for a hot Tuesday and a massive, all-day pounding headache. So my brain has been MIA in the functional department.

Y'all have a blessed,

phunday

I honestly don't have many words today.
All I know is:
It is beautiful out.
Dressing up for church is my fave.
I'm stuffed with tortellini and I could happily nap for about a year.
Tell someone you love them and make their day worth while.

Have a pleasant Sunday,
Celeste

family and new kicks

Quick little post today!

It's been a wonderful weekend! My parents surprised my siblings and I (who live here in Provo) and took a quick trip up here to visit for a day. I wish I could have taken a picture with them but they came and left so quickly there was basically no time! I also love living near my older siblings, especially since  I can squeeze my niece almost at any time of day I desire. I can't wait to visit my other sister who lives in Philly in a couple of months and squeeze my other precious fire-headed niece.

MY SHOES! Oh my goodness. I've been waiting on my Dr Martens for awhile and I was ecstatic when they came in the mail. I remember wearing the sandal Docs in kindergarten and getting wood chips stuck in-between my toes at play time. These boots slay me with how adorable and girly they are. Floral + boots = best math ever.

off to bed,
Celeste

my humble abode & TGIF

I told y'all I wasn't a professional at this stuff. But I happen to like my teeny cluttered space.

The great thing about living in college housing is that everything is about a foot in distance away from you. One second I'm on the couch, the other second I'm at the food cabinet, then back to the couch again. That's pretty much the only convenience. Long live the "freshman fifteen".

The picture frame I have with all of the clothes pins used to have regular pictures of friends. I want to put my polaroid camera to work and throw on some sweet polaroid pictures on those clothes pins to give it a nice little touch. Also, I bet y'all haven't noticed how obsessed I am with Frank Sinatra (sike). I apologize, but not really.

If anyone has any suggestions for a makeshift vinyl record rack, I'd be so up for anything. Maybe some old furniture from an antique store? We shall see.

GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND GO OUTSIDE AND PLAY! It's freakin' Friday.

have a freaky one,
Celeste

what i've been busy with as of late

picture one- power midnight meal to keep me from being hangry
picture two- what my night looked like for a good four hours, no matter how much i picked things up
picture three- breaking in my new place the right way
picture four- falling asleep to this guy's jazzy voice is almost equivalent to the goodness of mom's homemade brownies. (with the nuts..duh)

I moved into my new apartment.. FINALLY. I've been waiting to open the boxes I stuffed with my "fall" things, including this beauty of a record player and vinyl. (fanks, Willie!) Interior decorating isn't completely my forte, but when morning comes I'll get a few shots of my teeny room so I can feel y'all get cozy with me.

It's already almost Friday? What?!
Have a good weekend I guess?

artsy fartsy

This watercolor/sharpie piece was inspired by the cover artwork of Lydia's "Illuminate" album

watercolor for a close family friend

oil painted piece of Albert Einstein for an english project in high school (painted only with my fingertips)

pottery painted plate, made in highschool

watercolor of Frank Sinatra's mug shot (1938)

watercolor of Henry Berry Lowry (lumbee native american tribe)

These are just a few favorites of many pieces I've done throughout my life. I obviously don't have a specific type of art I favor over any other. I haven't painted/drawn in a few months and looking at these made me want to bring out my dusty sketch pad and easel and finally get my fingers and brain to work again. I'm excited to start taking classes and explore things I've never experienced in the art world. I'm no pro, but this is something I've enjoyed my entire life. Being inspired and creating something you've built in your head is a beautiful thing.

church

lace dress underneath - uo
short to long tunic - cotton on
strappy wedges - bakers
socks - ?
gladiator head piece - litter
sunglasses - uo

Well, I had to pack all of my clothes up to prepare for me to move into my new apartment on Monday. I made it slightly difficult for myself to find something rather than some nike shorts to wear to church. I had very little clothes left that wasn't boxed up, so this outfit was somehow thrown together and I somehow made these three items work together. (in my mind at least, which doesn't say much. haha) And of course, with a pair of socks. Wedge + sock = bf's. Since this outfit was a bit boring, i brought a pop of color with my pink lip.

I don't even know what I'm talking about, yall. I just really like clothes.

peace and bessin's,
Celeste
