It's a beautiful over-casty day today. It's a nice change from the blazing sun eating the back of my neck alive every day. I'm feelin' all sorts of blessed today. I had the privilege of working at my sister and brother-in-law's brand spankin' new Belgian (The Awful Waffle and Sixth Street Pizzeria) restaurant this morning from 7:30am to 4 in the afternoon, helping with a very special event before the grand opening next week. I couldn't be more proud! Whenever y'all happen to cruise through little ol' Provo Utah.. hit this place up. Literally DELICIOUS.

                  

Speaking of delicious, these galaxy leggings are possibly the dopest leggings I've ever own. William knows what's good. Weirdness at it's finest.

Got my new favorite shirt and lucky Levi's on today. Y'all know what that means. These shorts are an awkward high waisted length, so pardon the massive crotch line that makes me look about 20 lbs heavier than I really am. I don't even curr, comfort beats everything.

Have y'all been watching the Olympics? America has been KILLIN' it. Makes me proud to be living in the awesomest country in the world..literally.

Mixing patterns is possibly one of my favorite things, no doubt. I personally don't feel like it's necessary to obey each "rule" or "limit" magazines and society preach when it comes to clothes. Who are y'all to tell me what matches and what doesn't look good? Lately, originality is key to women and men in the clothing industry. If you're one of those who believe that, put down that magazine and find your inspiration elsewhere.

Enough of that. Just like to give my sister Ashley a shout out and say THANK YOU MUCH for upgrading my Dooney & Bourke. Never thought I'd love ostrich this much. Also, top knots are such a win in my book. Classic and chic. Also saves me a whole lot of embarrassment for when I'm having a i-was-too-lazy-to-wash-my-hair kind of day. Which happens a lot sooo...

snoop lion?

Anyone can appreciate a nice pair of mint jeans. Mint seems to be a favorite color in the clothes department lately. What's not to love? Makes you look tanner than you are, PLUS pair it with a couple gold bangles and you're set for life. Double whammy. I'm still debating whether orange lipstick is socially acceptable, and not only okay for when I dressed up as Cyndi Lauper for Halloween. 

Question of the century: Why did Snoop Dogg change his name to Snoop Lion and start singing reggae? Sounds to me like homeboy's been smokin' a little too much of somethin'. Sad to say I broke up with him after hearing this news. See you when you get back to rapping alongside a holographic Tupac and stop wearing that ridiculous jamaican/rasta hat with the fake dreads.

the first day of my life

Welcome friends and family! 

Growing up, I had dreams of being an astronaut, but opted for a paintbrush and blank canvas instead. This blog is an insight to what inspires me, from the fashion world to art to food. Any way that society has found to express themselves is worth celebrating. I just hope to capture any thought provoking moment that happens to captivate me and hopefully you will find that inspiration too.
