i'm home again. and this time it's with my love! the weather is perfect and i couldn't be happier to be with all the people i love in the place i love the most. this year has treated me well and i'm ready for the adventures 2014 has in store. enjoy these snaps from our adventure today

there's something about hazy days and exploring the mountains that is overwhelmingly magical. the endless view of evergreens will never get old to me. i'm thankful to have such an adventurous boyf that knows these mountains like the back of his hand and show me the ropes. i'm definitely not in texas anymore, folks.

this place might be one of the most beautiful places i've ever been and it's twenty minutes away from where i live. how lucky am i? half of these are from andrew's digital and the other half are my film. pictures can't give this place justice, though. us texas gals aren't quite used to hiking in snow so i think next time i'll be a little more prepared and bring some appropriate boots so i don't almost fall to my death like i might have maybe almost did...

on this last beautiful autumn sunday, some friends went up to this little reservoir in the mountains. i sadly forgot my camera, but thankfully my dearest had his and snapped a lot of really cool pictures while we were exploring. the water was a vibrant teal and the trees all smelled like earthly heaven. definitely thankful for days like these.
