Last I checked, I lived in Provo, Utah. Apparently as of this morning, I now live in Antarctica. I have literally never seen this much snow fall in my life. All I have to say is, thank goodness for mom's giant home-made knitted scarves, indestructible Doc Martens, and warm apartments. If y'all are lookin' for me, I'll be off these streets and buried under my heating blanket. Texas, come back to me!

it's beginning to smell a lot like christmas

I would consider to call myself the queen of comfortable clothes, and I'm totally fine with that title. Jewel tone combinations are a classic fall color pallet choice. Although black is too, I still try to steer away from it due to the infamous ghostly white skin tone the winter never fails to curse me with. On the other hand, I walked through a delightful scent cloud that smelled of Christmas. I had no idea what it was, but I definitely wasn't mad about it.

It's an exciting day to be an American today! I am currently (and permanently) plopped in my apartment living room watching the polls' numbers increase and decrease every five seconds on the television. In a few short hours we will soon find out who will be our president for the next four years!

space shirts and oil paints

it's been so long since i've painted/drawn, i almost forgot i had the ability to. i had the infamous itch to paint last night and of course, i didn't have any free canvases. so i purchased a couple this morning to only realize that itch went away after i slept on it (of course). my creative pipes need some oiling, so i've been finding random artists that inspire me. yangyang pan was my choice this week. abstract is what my eye likes as of late, apparently. hopefully i can jump on the creative train soon and make some ridiculous homemade masterpieces.

happy (late) halloween!

it's already november, what?! halloween came and went this year, for sure. as you can see, i was originally going to be biggie smalls (aka Notorious B.I.G). I even had the Coogi sweater and everything, but the idea making Minnie Mouse ears sounded fun. at first i was bummed I couldn't find a bright red and white polka dot sweater, but the maroon came to work out perfect! i thought the maroon gave it a cute vintage touch. i definitely ate my weight (and more) in candy all this last week, so if y'all can't find me at home, i'll be at the gym...in my thoughts. time for more pumpkins, stuffing, a lot of pie and thankfulness! is it a problem that I end almost every entry talking about food? didn't think so either..
